Nothing special.

04-07-2006, 05:30 PM
yea nothing big...just the largest hp # rom a production bike ever made.

it isn't much more than the 1000s and that is sad considering the displacement differences it should be at least 15hp mor than the 1000s and if you think that bike is going to be fast then run it against the new 1000s

164.39hp stock.........................kevins gsxr1000s out the crate did more than that and Allens 1000 did 162+ so what is that extra cc's worth other than maybe a little more torque............if you ask me it is a waste of space

well, if you could fit a 30,000 cc power plant under a seat, you could probably get (for argument's sake) 800 ponies. hell, it would probably dyno pretty good. how would it handle on the street? different story.

if you can't go faster, go bigger! 636, 1400

Considering the red line is with a full after market exhaust, PC tune and almost 400cc larger than a 1000cc bike, I'd say no it's not all that special. The 1000cc bike already push 170 with this same set up. Now add the extra weight and do the math.

Where the hell are you getting this info? you were at the dyno day. i thought that would have tought you something. it did me. shanes busa did 163rwhp and the only one to top that was me with MR9. shane had some slight mods at the time and i had alot of mods. and you need to reread the dyno graph

04-07-2006, 06:08 PM
top line red kinda fuzzy 181.12
However this chart made it to zx-10r.net awhile back it was determined to be BS. phycobike.com had some that were more legit. i think the hp #'s were around 176. I'll look and see what i can find.

if you are talking about the stock hp ....then you should read the blue letters and look at the blue line

STOCK gsxr's are NOT putting down 160+hp out of the creat. I know the number it is between 154 and 155. and as far as my pump gas numbers there 163.4

Dude...what the magazines having been throwing out there is lame in regards to what that GSXR1000 has for rear-wheel hp out of the crate. The magazines have stated anything from 155 to 160 rear wheel hp for the GSXR 1000. They don't tell you what the barometric pressure/humidity/and or elevation is for when these test took place. The only true test is to have all of these bikes tested at the same place at the same time...otherwise...a 3 hp variance is more then forseable. I thought they did that very thing down at KWS not to long ago...

It is nothing special! A Busa or a Gsxr1000 will tear it's ass up with no problem.

ok then....... do this leave the race gas at home and run straight up with allen and see who wins since you are both the same weight .........and the 163 that you have should spank the 150 plus that you say allen has

Have you ever known me to back down?

04-08-2006, 08:54 PM
How did the GSXR run?
Good, i dont want to take anything away from this bike. it may be my arch rival but it is a superfast machine! but the ol zx has just alittle more.
FYI I have rode many a gsxr1000's some of you guys have NOT rode the zx10. I know my competition better than i know my own bike. I will say this also the 06 and up zx10's wont be able to do what the 04-05 10's will. the 04 zx-10's just has a more Madkaw throtle.

Ok Randy. I'm gonna have to call bullshit. My GSXR 1000 layed waste to that slow ass zx10. I pulled away from your 10 effortlessly. PERIOD!!! Don't tell me you don't remember that.....

I can't beleive this Randy. Are you actually denying that the Gixxer pulled away from you???? I can't beleive you would stoop to telling fibs. Hell you had trouble with my 750... What makes you think you can handle me on a 1000? Own up to it , admit it , I pulled away from you... Why Lie?

04-09-2006, 09:55 PM
we pulled like 4 or 5 times. i walked away a couple of times. once i didnt realize we were about to plow into it. however when you droped the hammer so did I... in 6th. but it's cool we can roll out next week..... or you can meet me at the heritage dragrace on the 14th.
