We usually leave to go down sometime early Saturday afternoon. We need to leave town early enough to make it to Valdosta to enjoy the night life of the big city. Then we can get a hotel for about $50. Now you can get at least 3 people per room. If you make it down early enough you can camp out at the track if you like. We then hit the track Sunday and ride all day. After that we packup our stuff and make the trek back to Chucktown. Sunday is a long day but well worth it.

Suggested Items to add to Packing List:
Fan
Power strip
Cooler
Water
Cash

Kat is now accepting applications for umbrella boys.

Well, golly gee willikers Kat!! We want to stay somewhere close to the cool people! Are we all just fending for ourselves and then meeting up Sun morn at the track, or are we gonna try to stay close to the same place?

Some people are staying at the Day's Inn, others are camping out and who know what the rest are doing. I don't camp out when the hotel cost is only $54 per night with the taxes included, divided by 3 people. That's around $18 to sleep in a bed and room with AC / heat with breakfast included. Plus the gate at the track closes at 10:00pm. We usually try to meet up Sat. night for dinner / drinks, etc. So for those who can make it down by let's say 8 PM we will meet for dinner and then go from there. BTW Jason there's at least 8 more people that's not on the list that are going for sure including those that you named. I know some of us are waiting for friday to check the weather out. I am definitely going and I'm booked at the Days Inn.

999Duc
04-11-2006, 03:41 PM
Anyone know a good place to go out to eat as a group near the track?
I was planning on having a cookout at the track with some of the other riders but if there is a good place to go eat we can always try to plan that instead ............... 20+ riders taking over a restaurant could be fun.

I'll schedule something at the Texas Roadhouse or Outback Steakhouse if everyone likes that. I'll try to get a feel of how many want to go sometime next week.

That guy you were with said there was going to be a party in your mouth and that everbody will be cumming ...... just joking.

Im going to skip THAT party ,I think I will just grille out at the track or head to outback with the crew.
Majority rules on this one, but I kinda liked the idea of a grill out / party at the track.
However , there wont be any cute outback waitresses to hit on and try to bring back to the racing trailer at the track which is a drawback for the track party plan..... decisions decisions ......... :crap:

the only thing that scares me is the following day. if that front pushes through a little early monday's forecast will become sunday's weather. either way, i'm going to be down there. one of the two days IS GOING TO BE NICE. as of right now, going to stay for monday, too. (cheaper, less crowded)

04-16-2006, 01:09 PM
oh god..ok dont want to sound like bill walsh here. however they predict fronts early at higher speeds. the only thing that may change is the front stays at the same speed or slows down witch will push it to tuesday. dont ask how i know this its a long drunken story lol

I think Barry said we're leaving around 2pm which would put us in Savannah around 3 to 4pm. You guys staying at Days Inn?

8am? Isn't there a trackday going on Saturday? Infact , Im sure there is because I know someone who is riding it ....... my point is that even if you got there at 1pm , there wouldnt be any pads available because people are going to be using them until 5pm ....... just a thought.

We are staying in my trailer at the track and grilling out.I will have the TV and Playstation 2 hooked up with MotoGP 3 and the new TT game if anyone wants to stop by.

You're right about the pads. Some people will even be there from Friday to Monday...

I might bring my xbox and/or projector.

Haha we are bringing bubba burgers too! I have a 27inch TV for the PS 2.
I could roll one of the two Big Screens into the trailer from the house but I dont think it would be good for them to ride to jennings in a trailer ...... :crap:

KWS can order both for me brand new, but I wasn't anticipating the cost. PLEASE HELP.

I have 2 sets of 120 / 180 Bridgestone BT002 take offs right now if you want.
They are $100 a set and would be good for jennings because only the right side is shaved down from Roebling.
Let me know , I can have Greg bring them to KWS Friday when he goes up there.

I like it much better than the PS2 version. They're alot different and that's understandable since they are made by two different companies. If Mike brings his Xbox, I have MotoGP 1, 2 and 3.

Nice , I don't ever get to play the games but I do own them.
I have spent about an hour playing the new TT game and haven't played MotoGP much considering how long I have owned it.

Like tonight , I would like to chill out and play TT a bit but I have to do an oil/ filter change and get my tires off so the new set can go on.
I know it should only take an hour to do but I procrastinate haha.

Hey no problem , I was going to send the tires up to KWS with Greg if you needed them and you could have just paid me at Jennings or whenever you could.

Glad you got tires either way , I hate when last minute problems arise before a track trip.

Luckily Burns (Steve) was able to help me out with such short notice. I look forward to meeting you and your friends at the track. Take it easy on me though. I get enough razzing from these goobers.

Speaking of....Jason / Matt, are you coming with us? Although I know your aversion to sharing the track with a female.

04-20-2006, 03:27 PM
we need to come up with a rain contengency plan. I REALLY dont think it will but better safe than sorry. the money is at jennings so im sure there will be a no refund deal but maybe a rain check.

I figured that since me and a bunch of my friends are new faces around here , and all of you know each other and recognize everyones equipment ........ I would post a description of what we drive and ride so maybe some of you can say hello since we wont know who you are.

Greg and I will be in my truck and trailer, a Black 4 door Tundra pulling a black and diamond plated 7x16' V nose trailer.
I ride an 05 Green & Black 636 #554.
Greg has an 04 Black R6 # 179.
We will be set up under a 10'x20' blue canopy.

The guys from Charlotte will be in a White Chevy truck pulling a 8x19' white trailer with " Dirk Diggler Racing" on the side of it.
Yes , Im serious.haha
We will be at Jennings saturday night around 7 or 8pm.
We will probably all pit together so stop and say hi if you happen to walk past.
