The key word was Superbike, not a stock bike. Many many thousands of dollars differents. I would say like maybe $30,000 and up.
Superbikes easily can cost over 100k.

How's Kaw doing in MotoGP?

Good for Tom....he is a really nice guy. But......Tom rides for the factory Kawasaki team in Canada. Jennings is a club track. The pros do not ride there......so there is nothing to compare the time to.....other than a bunch of club guys.
Jenson is a phenominal rider.....but he had the record for a while on SS spec R1....not a full on Superbike. I believe this is the first time any body has riden the track on a full factory Superbike.
Again.....good for Tom. =D>

DITTO what Chip said. Why would any of the factory or superbike racers be at Jennings? They have now reason to be there. May be some of them could train in the off season by riding there bicycles there. Like chip said this is a great accomplishment but compared to what?

The Attack team has been there before with their FX bikes and a ZX10 but can't remember if it was a Superstock or Superbike ZX10. Josh Hayes and Ben Attard were riding. Not sure about there times though.

It is what it is. How can you compare a superbike to a supersport bike? I'm sure everyone here knows the difference. In drag racing terms it almost like comparing a street drag car to a funny car.

I'm not bashing anything...just putting things into perspective.
and if you refering to our superbike that we sold last year.....that really doesn't count if Lee or John is not riding it...
and our bikes are red/blue/yellow/black...
...or like comparing a Smurf to a Yao :smilebig:

LMAO round 2
Kawasaki or Suzuki doesn't have alot to talk about unless you're talking AMA only. Kaw doesn't have a championship since '96 and Suzuki has had nice run in the AMA but most likely due to M. Mladin and his crew. Suzuki finally won a WSBK title after pretty much all the factory bikes pulled out, Kawasaki has done nothing there. MotoGP...they're both a joke...
I would like to see eric bostrom back but doubt that will happen.
Pascal Picotte finished the day with the fastest time of 1:15.444 on a Yamaha. Randy, your dream day lasted about 2 hours.
Superbike Best Overall times from Jennings GP pre-season testing
1. Pascal Picotte, Yamaha YZF-R1, 1:15.444
2. Tom Kipp, Kawasaki ZX-10R, 1:15.505
3. Francis Martin, Suzuki GSX-R1000, 1:15.950
4. Clint McBain, Suzuki GSX-R1000, 1:16.166
5. Jordan Szoke, Kawasaki ZX-10R, 1:16.483
6. Kevin Lacombe, Yamaha YZF-R1, 1:16.950
Man, how long has Jordan Szoke been racing in Canada? Seems like forever! I know he came one year to the AMA but that didn't last long.
