600RR > F4i fork question

Hey guys. Long time no see. Who, if anyone, can tell me if I can put a 600RR front forks and tripple tree on a 2002 600F4i? I think I recall someone saying that it can be done, just wanna double check. Way off topic, just point me in the right direction.

i think that you can with minor modifications, but call shad at champion to find out for sure

as long as the steering head bering is the same size on both, it can be done. if the conventional 600rr forks are the same diameter (which i don't think they are), they'll bolt right up and you'll just have to adjust the geometry. otherwise, you'll definitely have to use different triples, especially for the inverted-type 600rr forks. or, you could just upgrade to a 600rr!! :wtg:

they never changed the steering head tube size, so you can... but you have to use the whole triple tree.
the only catch is the steering stops.. off the top of my head i dont remember what you have to do with them, but i recall they have to be slightly modified.
