I made it out on Sunday to watch the gang. The thing that I noticed pretty quickly was that Trey and Kenny have a big old cross hair target on there back. All of the old Wera boys could not wait to beat up on them. One rider even told Trey that "It's Coming"! Trey replied ok, whatever? One guy told me that he was winning races until those two SC guy's started showing up. Believe it or not, the Lightweight race on Sunday was the most anticipated race of the weekend.

When the flag dropped Kenny got the holeshot to turn one with Trey behind. Trey then put a stupid dope pass that only Trey could get away without wrecking. Kenny put his head down and played follow the leader with a hater up in his behind. On the white flag lap the hater dude passes Kenny on the front straight with only 1 lap to go. I'm thinking, what the hell is Kenny doing? Well, Kenny decides to hide in the hater dudes ass for half a lap. Then he passes the hater with that KR showtime skill and beats the hater to the white stripe. The announcer said folks this was a World Class Show put on by Trey, Kenny , and Mr Hater dude. They finished the race at least a half a lap ahead of the 4th place finisher and the other twenty something racers. I had a blast watching watching all of the Chucktown gang kick ass. Congrads to Dan, Amy, KR and Trey.
Love the way you so elequintly put this out. I don't think I know you but, just love it. Please, keep posting your views. Love it.....

I was too broke to run there. I think I would have been 3rd-5th place in B superstock, and I would have won the B superbike. The winner of B superbike ran a best lap of 1:49.

I would have won 3 more Championships If I would have raced the whole season.... But I didn't. Cause I didn't race.:p

jason 41
07-21-2010, 09:33 AM
Certainly would have helped. Sometimes I think WERA has to many races per region... Its hard to afford the Practices and all the race days. CCS only had like 7 weekends. I think you guys of done that already this year. Sucks that Dan had to sit one out. its tuff to be at the track 3 times in a month.

How about some take offs.... :pI'm still a racer too. Well sort of.....:(
Well Jason, you called it...I got my first win! :trophy: During practice, I set my fastest laptime ever for RRR @ 1:17.056. My 1st race was superbike, and my first time running slicks. The track heated up quite a bit more than earlier (when I ran my personal best), and the slicks were...well slick. My laptimes were all in the 1:18's. Additionally, I wasn't keeping my head down and riding like I was earlier. I still ended up 2nd in B superbike. Additionally, I ended up 4th overall, ahead of 2 experts and all the V#7 heavyweights.Vintage #7 heavyweights (GSXR 1100's and other older superbikes).
The last race of the day was B superstock expert and novice. I ended up 1st, and was hot on the tail of one of the experts. Being the last race of the day, the track cooled just a touch, and I was back to running in the low 18's, with a best of 1:17.8.
It was extremely hot and humid with a heat index of 115. Between races, I stayed in my truck with the a/c on high.

Thanks to Shawn for loaning me the pop-up, and your help in the pits.
Thanks to Ken Roberts for the windshield(s) to get there safely, and your support this year as well.
Thanks to Dunlop for the tires to keep me planted.
Thanks to Kenny for all the trackdays @ RRR that got me the skills needed to get my first win, and a second place.

Lastly, biggest thanks to wife Sharon and son James for driving themselves down to see an old man play on a motorcycle.

I never seen you make it to a 22...... oh wait it was the blown fork seal blah blah blah blah blah. How many times have you guys raced at RRR this year, twice? the first was the nationals so you know there was gonna be a big turn out for that event. If this was the regional then I would think it would be a little more expected. Economy is still down and people are not spending the money on racing like they use to.

They raced 3 times this year. In this past weekend you were either first or last:rolleyes: witch kinda sucks, but if your a new racer it still feels good to get those trophies. The Expert Light weight classes were still legit. and some of the others too.

Boy times have changed I remember me and Evan on the grid with 25 riders in front of us. We had our work cut out for us for sure. I won a few of those. And lil E did really well also. The Nationals is were its at, if you can do good there than you are doing something. I look for Kenny and Trey to win a few National championships this year. Its been a long time coming for KR and I hope it goes well for him.
