Well with the job that I have, I dont get to ride much, hell at all...I havn't ridin since august. And the bike I have is not exactly a pussy cat. I am going to ride it at a few trackdays on my next vacation and race at barber, but there just isnt much time to do any real riding. I cant just take 6 months off from riding and expect to be able to ride at a high level. And anyone that really knows me knows I can get 2nd place in every race and be pissed off. So I may sell it after my next vacation. Dosnt mean I wont get something else down the road but I feel like Racing and being one of the "fast Guys" may be passing me by. :(

dude, your doing something for all of us. I have been to one track with you and you will always be a fast guy to me. Not many people can ride like you, and not many people can say they are doing what you are doing for your country. Don't sweat the small stuff and watch your ass over there. The track will be here when you get back and you will still be fast. I am gonna have to miss your first track day because its gonna rain but I will be at the second one for to welcome you back.

As far as seniors go last season Tim Hunt ran 10's at roebling he is almost 40. And all the Novice championships were won By 40+ guys..... Jim ran 17's at jennings and 14's at RRR as a Novice........ on a 600 that had stock suspension:eek:

I feel your pain Jason. I have only been on the track like 4 times in the past two years. Hell back in the day I've done that in a month or so. This year I do plan to pick it up a bit. I would like to do 5 or 6 track days this season.

Yesterday was my first track day, and I had a blast... even though I'm pretty sure I was the slowest guy on the track. I appreciate all the help I got from the veterans. I'll be back, and I'll try to be a little faster. 520 conversion and a better front tire should help.

I hit some of that oil in turn 3 and it made my front tire do the hokie pokie. Nothing funner than an off track excursion at 90.

Thanks to everybody who helped make it an awesome 1st track day for me.

Thanks for making it a good day. Yeah we had to wait for the oil to get cleaned up, but at the end of the day we went home in one piece with a smile. That's what it's all about, right? This was my last track day for a while--I'll be heading to Norfolk for work next month until near the end of the summer. Hopefully we'll have a few track days after I get back. And who knows, maybe a trip to VIR is in the works while I'm up there. :D
