Well if you didn't know several of us here were racing at Jenning this past weekend. Trey, Matt, Kenny, Jason, myself (Barry) and one of the guy's from Charlotte on this forum. I forgot his name so hopefully he will chime in here for me. I never did make it over to his pit to check him out. Anyway it was a pretty big weekend event down there. It was a yamaha weekend. Which means yamaha was paying big money on several races. This always brings out a crowd. Trey of course represented Chucktown this weekend by being on the last row of the starting grid and winning the big money $1,500 shootout race. Kenny did tremendously well too. I believe that he got like 3 top 5 finishes. If you didn't know, probably 10 or more people in these top races have some AMA experience, if that tells you a little bit about the level of competition here. Jason did extreamly well his first expert racing weekend. He ended up finishing in the top 10 twice I believe. His game definitely rose to the occasion like we knew it would. Matt didn't have any expectation of doing much except learning his new bike and getting some of the year long rust off. As fast as Matt is I know he is like me and itching to race at Roebling in June. I on the other hand never expect to lose, even though it's envitable. I still want to win. I was very rusty and it showed. I simply got my teeth kicked in my first expert race. It wasn't all bad, I actually lead a couple of laps my first race, and then that's when the rust came in. I should have turned the pace up but I didn't. I'm not up to speed yet, but it's coming. I now know that I can run with the big boys, I just need some seat time. Thanks to Mark and Purto for coming down to support us.
