I just realized that this is the day after the WERA S.E. and N. Florida round @ RRR. Those that come early on Sunday can see us race.

Mac has the new AMA spec tires, the Dunlop 211 GPA, d.o.t. tires. They are used, but in great shape, at a great price. I'd take these any day over street tires. Cheap insurance if you ask me.

Thats pretty funny but the direction your camera is pointing is the last thing you are concerned about when you fly off the track.... especially after doing a nice face plant. Hopefully you won't fly off the track like I did before dialing in your new gopro.

I think most of us had a vote for Monday track days. That way most of us only have to miss 1 day of work and can prepare during the weekend.

I just got my GoPro HD today... when I get home from work, I'm gonna try a few different mounting positions. I have a blacked out windshield, so on top of the tank is out.

Anybody have any mounting suggestions?

Anybody have a clear or smoke windshield for a 06-07 R6?

Sooo anyway:whistle:... I got a little too hammered last night to mess with the bike / gopro.

Does the suction cup thingy really hold up at high speeds... i dont want to find out the hard (expensive) way. I'm also not crazy about the idea of mounting those 3M pads on my pretty red R6.

So nobody with an extra 06-07 R6 windshield so I can mount to the tank?

Im not sure what kind of suction cup thingy your GoPRO has, but I can say from first hand experience that the suction cup thingy on TomTom's does NOT hold at high speeds :wall:

Kenny has used my suction cup gopro mount on his bike on the gas tank. He got about 25 minutes of good riding and no issues. I had someone tell me about using some tape to put down under the 3M pad so if you want to remove them it's not so hard. I haven't done this to mine yet.

I've got a lot of work to do on the bike to try and get more consistent. Will be happy to help with anything I can. Hopefully you'll be able to get down there early enough on Sunday to see some of the races.

Hell yea! You are 17th in A superstock for N. Florida. Run the 2 weekends like you said, and you will definately qualify for the GNF.

You need to run 17's to be able to compete.

In the novice class for 600's and 750's, winning times are in the high 1:16's to low 1:18's. 1:20's to 1:22's will put you midpack. I won my 750 novice race with a best lap of 1:17.8, with most of my laps around 1:18.1's. From a standing start, my first lap was a 1:19.4
Expert times for 600's and 750's are usually in the 1:14-1:15's. Some experts are running 600's in the 1:11's and 1:12's.:eek:

Well I knew I wuz slow... This was my second trackday and my best lap was a 1:25....:shrug: But thats better than my first trackday which my best was a 1:31 so i'm okay with it. At least i'm improving I guess. Thanx for answering my question guys.:D

Exactly right, when I'm doing trackdays I try and worry about my times and my times only. At the races its a diffrent story, I want to be first, in practice and the race.
