As a few know I'm deployed, but what you might not know is I'm deployed to an old Soviet bomber base. Well, yesterday we found an old bone yard full of old planes from the 50's and 60's. I wish you guys could see these things. Several still have CCCP stamped on the tail. There are no jets, like the Migs, most are prop jobs...but damn they're cool. It's kind of erie and cool at the same time. I'm not supposed to take pictures but I'll see what I can do. :smilebig:

Alot of the older folks, which go back to the USSR days, seems to not care for us too much. Understandable, since the majority of their lives they were taught the USA were the enemies. But for the most part we are treated pretty well.

Oh by the way, the average yearly income is about 300 dollars a year.

Damn! I wish I could see that stuff, I love cold war era stuff from the USSR. I studied the hell out of that crap when I was young.

Let me know what you want and I'll try and find it. As of right now I've seen USSR military buttons, hats, and rings. Also, orginal recruiting posters from the '40s but they are pretty expensive. One was $400!
