Randy just brought his ass up here in a pissed off mood! The bitch had a roll of quaters in his hand. Grabbed me by the shirt and began to punch my face in. Now I am missing 3 teeth and blood is pouring like a river from hell. All because he wants a dyno day. Well hell you got one. I am sure he will have a gaint post about this so stay tunes.
P.S. Could some one bring me some moonshine and some chocolate bars?
About 9 months ago a couple of guys got together and decided to throw a dyno day. alot of people showed up and it was a VERY educating event... now this isnt your drinking partying dancing on the bar kinda thing like my parties but if you own a bike it is a must. I promise you will know more about bikes by the end of the day. also helps seperate educated bikers from the BS ones. so what is a dyno day?
Kevin hunt at KWS motorsports has one of the most accurate dyno's in the U.S. this man has spent more mony on the dyno than his own house im sure. {I think he sleeps with the dyno} This machine is spot on target! well to get on a machine like so most of the time you can be asked to pay as much as $350 however that is not the case. they are breaking it down and THEN discounting it.
rear wheel horse power pull $25
HP + tourqe AND air fuel mixture $40
Dyno jet mapping $250!!!!!!!!
Buy PC3usb's below internet cost!!! $250!
Also i will be hoasting a Weigh in! witch means for $5 we will weigh your bike and give you front and rear measuments. For $10 we will drain your tank and give you wet and dry weight!
There has also been rumors of some of the ol AMA stars may be stoping in. {not confirmed YET}
so what do you need to do?
First make sure your bike is in good running order. check your chain and lube it. dont bring me some pile of shit and ask to put it on the $60000 dyno.. aint happening..
tire pressure= each to his own but i recomend about 31-34lbs in the rear tire.
Be at KWS motorsports on
6/24/06 between 9am-3pm
preregistration has not been organized yet so give me a week. I promise this will be sold out!!!!!!! preregistering is a good idea!
Directions can be found at www.kwsmotorsports.com
info at www.scriders.com or www.cornerjunkies.com
Thanks 10 speed
sorry about the teeth steve.

Even if you do not want to put your bike on the dyno. you are still welcome to come and hang out and eat. Even if you drive you 4 wheel cage here. I promise I won't run out in my straw hat and riffle and chase you off.

just curious....dry weight means dry, right? no fork oil, fuel, brake fluid, coolant, oil, windshield wiper fluid (j/k). for $10 you're going to pretty much do a full fluid service on my bike?

just wanted to point out that you may want to be a little more specific when you're offering a service. i'm not getting the r6 dynoed, i know she isn't anything special, but enough for what i want her for. i'll see everyone up there.

let's hope that or higher. I have had 06 R6s in here stock making higher than that
SUM650
06-13-2006, 10:51 AM
My 03 636 made 111.5 with just a slipon last year.
well last year there was a guy with a silver {i think} 636 with paper tags and nipples on the tires that ran a 109. on kawi forums they say ditching the butterfly vaulve is worth 9hp. witch i doubt. but hey if that is true then i should be around 118... thats why i said 114 because kawiforms is kinda squidy. so im hopeing for a 114. then with a pc and some other mods my goal will be to have the first proven 600 with over 120rwhp. and yes i know stevo is working on a nice 06r6. but it would be cool to see some 600's that are on the street with 120+ rwhp.

06-13-2006, 11:34 AM
I was thinking of maybe a street built 06 R6 with about 134 hp. Sweet!!

Scotty2
06-16-2006, 09:12 PM
What does the ignition module do for you? I probably have some room for improvment on the PC3 map. Graves loaded thier map on it but I'm sure the air is a little more dense around here. Probably a little cleaner too.
mccutch2u
06-16-2006, 11:30 PM

Chris M. - R1 -177 HP with race fuel
1st run was 166 without race fuel
Doug B. - gsxr 1k- 169 hp on pump gas, full yoshi / pc 3
Chris W. - 171 - Busa, pump gas, full exhast, pc3, I want to point out that this bike also has 100 ft lbs of torque all over the graph.
Allen C. - 166- gsxr 1K- all stock with mr9 only.
2 - 2006 750's one was 128 stock and one was 123.
1 600 RR, Charles 106 hp.
Several R6's all less than 110 hp.
Another no show for I'm coming Scotty.
Randy's 06 zx 636 won the 600 class with 114 hp on mr9. Now on the other hand he was a little embarrased when the 10 could only mustar up 165 ponies on dyno. This just happend to be the 2nd to lowest output of all the liter bikes dynoed. There was one 929 that made an astonishing 138 hp. Every gsxr 1000 put on the dyno made at least 166 hp or better, and most of them were using pump gas. Chris M. won the liter bike class hands down. I don't know if Chris heard this or not while he was sporting his crown. Someone said that he will never own the street king title in this town! Those were some bold words, but who knows, maybe Chris is like me and has no interest in the prestigious street king title what so ever?
Damn Chris, pretty impressive!!
wow had a blast guys. time for a pc i think on the little zx. Holly shit that thing is a screamer! lol once again learned alot as usual on these days. the comment i made i think sums the day up. one person said "looks like some squidy people showed up" i stated " there not the ones that will scare you, there here learning. Imagine the squidy ones that dont come to these things...there doomed" I like dyno days because there like drag nights or trackdays. there educating. I learned that tire choise effects rwhp. not only with the big zx but also saw it on charles 600rr's. so i think im going to start looking into some different tire set ups on the 10... last year when i shot out the 173 i was on a bs tire. I was actually worried last year that the tire wouldnt stick to the drum. i figured the gp compound would produce better traction and more hp on the drum. however kevin tought me that the stickyer the tire the hevier the tire...aka hp robbing. so I think im going to try a 180 draggon now.
SUM650
06-25-2006, 09:07 AM
You didn't lose 8 hp in the tire. A couple hp maybe, but not 8. I get my race bikes dynoed with the race tires that I will be running, because using another tire to give you a false higher number that won't help at all. I need to know the real deal. BTW Dave I had my new sv mapped and tuned last Friday. Hold on to your seat for this now. She is putting out a full 81 hp. That's six more than my old sv. I didn't want to brag about this or anything, but what the hell. It's out there now. :evillaugh: To me personally, the most impressive bike of the day was Doug's gixxer 1000 with 169 on pump gas. I was hoping a new 1000RR and zx10 would show up, but we had no luck with that.

is this anything new..........................always an excuse................just like Barry beat him because he wasn't use to the bike.................a bike that he claims to be running 1:20+ @ jennings on if i am not mistaking he got out dynoed by every gsxr 1000 but an 01 1000................... @ least he has the zx6 to fall back on i don't suppose those were stock though

06-25-2006, 01:47 PM
well, i couldn't make the dyno day because i had to work, but i did have the new r6 race bike that jason and i are supposed to race up at kevin's shop a few weeks ago...with a full akropovic exhaust and pc3 ONLY (i.e., no other mods...), the '06 r6 ran 117.8 rwhp with PUMP GAS and stock tires WITHOUT having 37 extra cc's to help out...pretty stout if you ask me...any takers??

Well in all fairness Randy and I didn't do a straight up 2nd gear run. So I was just talking smack that I beat him. To be totally honest I can't beat that skinny little Keith on his R6, but he knows I'm game at anytime. Next week I'm going to skip a meal and go jogging a few days. Then I'll be ready for any 600 that wants a beat down. We know who the King of the street is so, let's plan to do another big track day and have some fun. Then you all can figure out who's got the biggest sack if you guy's must. I bet that not to many non race riders are going to be passing drag racing Randy! I almost forgot to say thanks to all of the KWS staff that helped out with this dyno day. It was a lot of fun for sure. I also wanted to thank Randy for spending his time energy and effort for organizing this whole event again. Keep doing what you do Randy, the Charleston sport biking scene is now livelier than it's ever been. Job well done!

I just don't like riding others bikes since there's always the chance of crashing. Not that I wouldn't repair it, it's just crashing someones bike.
Hopefully, you guys will go to Roebling in Oct; I'd love to run the new surface. And once I get back, I hope to fix all the problems I have with the bike. I need new rotors, engine still has the fuel problem and I might need to do something with the transmission but the Savannah River still isn't out of the question!

STOCK gsxr's are NOT putting down 160+hp out of the creat. I know the number it is between 154 and 155. and as far as my pump gas numbers there 163.4
so randy you believe everyone now ...............about those stock gixxers..........also since you got 165 on mr9 does that mean you are only in the 150's on pump gas putting that kawi near the bottom of the list with the 06 r1 above you with just slip ons

It would be real nice if the Kang could join us on the Deals Gap trip July 28th - 30th. It's not going to be a cmpetitive trackday type event, but a chance to do some good brisk pace scenic riding on some beautiful roads. Plus were talking about staying in Gatlinburg, which means if you want some of the Nascar King of go Karts then I'm your man. Don't worry about keeping up on deals gap, I'll get Nikki to wait up for you! I couldn't resist throwing that one out at you. Besides, the only way I can keep up with you now would be to tie a rope to the back of your bike.
