well Brian killer b, Chris myself and 2 other buddies of mine from florida were at jennings this weekend. Had a good time however will not be returning to this track untill the cooler part of the year. EVERYONE wrecked ecept me and trey. Brian went down in turn 10 and chris went down in 8. jerrmy from florida went down on the front strait for one of the scariest crashes ive seen in a while.{red and camo ninja}... I went back out after lunch and the track was boiling hot. the bike was sliding all over the place. lap times slowed waaay down. It was everything i could do to maintain controll on the track and still ran only a 33. AND I WAS PASSING PEOPLE! Well after i got back in to the pit i got off the bike were a extream case of heat exhaustion set it.... I felt like shit... head ache nautius and dazed and confused... So we decided we had destroied enough shit and the next thing to destroy was my 636... LETS GO HOME!!! so we loaded up and left where i passes out in the truck... after about 2hrs of ac and my boy chris taking care of me {thanks chris} I got my witts back and we were home by 9:30. felt good to be home. I love jenningsbut dont think i will be going back till september or so. I drank a shit load of water so i didnt dehydrate just heat exhaustion....oh well had fun got to beat on brians bike with a hammer! see yall at wings.

If you think doing a track day is bad in it, try racing in those conditions. Unfortunatly every track in the SE is going to be this way through August.

Generally if you think you are drinking enough water, you're not.

Thanks for the update, and by the sounds of it, we should all stay off the track if at all possible until the temps go down some. I had too much to do at home to make this one anyways, but learning from ya'll's experiences I won't be going to the track until it cools down enough. Gap? Sure. Track? Probably not for a while.

VIR is still in the southeast. Like Kenny said it's still hot and humid there as well. Plus you just can't up and do a track day at VIR. You have 3 options, don't ride, or suck it up like the rest of us, or take a long trip up north.

stop being a bunch of girls and go ride. some of you want to be racers, well we race rain or shine no matter how hot or cold it is. Suck it up ladies

learning to adapt to all conditions will ultimately make a better all around racer. jason's got a point.

If my races consisted of riding in a straight line for 10 seconds , I may not need AC at the track either. :jive:

well thats the race...but then you have to sit in the staging lanes fully suited for uhhh 5 min... i think i lost 10lbs every pass..

It takes a lot out of you Tony to put your foot on the pegs and shift gears during that 10 second run. Now in the real racing world we were at Roebling this weekend. Try doing a 25 minute GP race in the 95 degree Georgia sun.

Do you mean I should try that or Randy should try that?
I know what Solo 20's in 95* weather are like. :smilebig:

06-12-2006, 11:02 AM
i plan on trying that... the thing im trying to figure out is to avoid dehyration drink water and gatorade. but what do you do to avoid heat exhaustion?... at the drag strip i just stayed in the truck with the ac on. but im sure thats not good for the truck... i may look for some tree's to park under on the 18th...

Take one of those children pools that are like 3 foot high and chill in that.

06-12-2006, 11:19 AM
that would be awsome...leather cost alot....
