Well a lot of you have been asking about it so here it is. Deal's gap in July. Forget what you've heard Deals gap is a beautiful and fun place to ride. There is one simple thing that it took me years to learn. Deals Gap is not a race track and it should not be ridden as such. We have plenty of time to plan and do this right. So let's try to get arrangements to all stay at the same location if we could. Is anyone interested in staying in Gatlingburg? Last year we had twenty something bikes to go, and we had a blast. So do what you need to do to be off that weekend. BTW there are a lot of the military guys that didn't get to make the last trip this year that will be going, so it already looks like there will be a good crowd.

I'm glad you will be able to make it Randy. You won't regret it. It will be a lot of fun guaranteed. I absolutely love the NC & Tennessee Mountains. The roads up there are beautiful. We say the gap but we really don't ride the gap that much. Some of the more experienced riders make 2 or 3 passes, then we get together and try to ride as much as we can on those beautiful scenic roads.

Why don't you guys rent a chalet around Gatlinburg? We did this last year. Most of them hold about 8 to 10 people. Plus, it's only about 35 mins from the Gap and much nicer accommodations, not to mention the night life. Half the fun is getting there!

And the night life in Gatlinburg is pretty good also

Now I'm hyped up and ready to go soon. I think it would be great if we all could stay in Gatlinburg. I can't wait to get you all out there and show you how to drive a go cart.

Glad to hear it!!! Next time you need to carry a Bear Claw or atleast some Donuts for persuasion,,,the entire "strip club skit" was a bit much...funny as all hell though!!!

Thanks for posting that Steve. It's a sad story but it reminds us that deals gap isn't a race track. What's the chances that you could make this trek, since our buddy Chris is going on this one.

I will actually be working, well I will be monitoring a class during that time so I wouldn't have time to get there and back. I would definitely love to come but you guys enjoy and be safe.

Y'all be careful over there... I was there a couple weeks ago with a bunch of old farts from the ZRXOA, and there were people snapping pictures on several of the corners :) See pics 14-16 on this page - I'm the dude with the cheap black and blue AGVSport Power Ranger outfit, with the rain cover on the tailbag of the blue ZRX.

You can't ever go to the gaps to many times, so you should join us on the 28th - 30th. BTW what do you consider old, because I may be in that age range and just dont realize it. I'll take a cheap blue agv suit than a skin graph anyday, so in my book your one smart man. Besides, unless you doing a lot of competetive road racing, you don't need to spend a lot of money for leathers.

Well, my son is down on his summer visit, and he is able to stay longer this year, so I'm going to have to cough out of this trip. Hell, I don't even have the title back for my bike yet.
It really doesn't matter anyways cause as it turns out, my collar bone did not heal in time for this trip. I did some research and the reason being is because of "where my collar bone is broken". The closer a collar bone is broken towards the shoulder, the harder it is to heal. I will hopefully be seeing a specialist this week...

So what do they say, three strikes and your out.

#3 Brokan Collarbone

There are some others from the area that have their own trip going up there this weekend. They are riding from here to there and when done playing up there riding back. You may see them. They have yet to sign in here.
