Coming very soon: faster load times for this forum.
That's right, I've had enough of these ridiculous load times. Many emails, work tickets, calls, and chats later, the forum's host (globat.com) has only one more chance to straighten out the forum load times.
Here's one little statistic I got while getting ready to post this news topic: "Page generation time: 53.936s". Unfreakingacceptable. Seriously, it should take 3 seconds, max, to generate a complex page (most of the forums I frequent have a 1 second or less generation time), so 54 seconds, not to mention the data transfer time, is unreal.
This means that if globat.com doesn't straighten this out, and pronto, I'll be switching to another host. This may produce a slight downtime for the site, but I hope to have the transition (if need be, globat still has a couple of days) run seamlessly, so with some work, the only thing you guys will notice will be the fast (normal) load times :wtg:
