:nay: Fuck Kerry! :nay:
And the only thing Bush has done wrong is keep that no good peice of shit Rumsfeld in there running things overseas. Im a firm beliver in supporting are troops. But god damn this cluster fuck they got going on over there is well..just that.

WEll Randy why do you think this. The victems of the storm, well it would be nice if that place was already rebuilt. before that storm hit everyone was warned that something very bad was coming and to leave. So a bunch of stuck around. Whos fault is that? Their own, Not Bush's.
So why does he owe the Military an apology? Because they are doing their job? Because they have been over there for so long still try to get rid of the terrorist? I don't care what age you are or if you are a male or female. When you join the Military you know and I would think that they would tell you that there is a great chance that you may go to war one day and die for your country. Best to fight it over there then to fight it here.
One day I had a young married couple come spend a few weekends at KWS. He is an officer in the Marines. I asked them one day how they and the others they know felt about being over there fighting. They both told me that it does suck to be away from your family for so long not knowing if they are ok are not. But everyone remembers 911. They would rather fight over there then to have another 911 happen here in the USA and have more people killed. We had a long talk that day but I am not going though the whole thing.
The katrina situation is confusing but when hugo hit in 1989 I remember blackhawk helocopters on dorchester road the following morning. I also remember the national guard helping my family bag sand before the storm.... I also remember that we were in bagdad in less than a week however it took longer to get aid to booby town. ALSO when hugo hit contractors from all over came into charleston to help cut down tree's in the road FOR FREE. when katrina hit my company was mobilized and ready to return the favor when we were told we would not be allowed to enter lousiana so to stay here.... thats bullshit. America's greatest asset is it's ability to fix itself. The goverment blockaded the interstate so america could not enter.... It handicaped our greatest asset. SO by doing that they should have stepped up and did our job.
As far as Iraq my only issue is if our troops dont want us there and the people of iraq dont want us there....why are we there? I sapport what the troops are doing {following orders} but i dont see the rationality of it. Someone told me "it's to fix what we blew up" well when is osoma going to put our two building back up? he wont we will. so why do we fix other countrys? These are the questions I would like our leader to answer.

I am sure that there are many of the US troops that don't want to be there. They would rather be here wake up with the ones they love. They have a job to do! To keep America safe, and to allow us to have the freedom that we have. To fight the terrorist there instead on our soil. Would you rather the war to be fought there on here? Where terrorist are doing all the shit they are there here.
That place was total hell before we showed up there and took Hussain out. The people were not free. They lived in terror. They now have a free goverment and an army of there own that our people are working with so that when our people do come home they can deal with what ever problems happen. Sure there are still a lot of people dieing still over there, it is a war. That is what happens in a war. People die! There are still many terrorist in that counrty and many going there from other countrys to fight us. Again, better there than here.
If you look back in History you will see that when we have gone into a country and took out the old goverment we would help set up a free goverment and help them rebuild everything that we blew up so they can work on becoming a better country.
When the Generals feel it is time we bring our guys home they will the Mr. Bush and it will happen. Bush will not do that till the Generals say so. They are the ones over there in charge.
I know tons of Americans would love to have our people back here. And you always see all those in Congress saying we want to bring our people home bring them home now. Many months ago ( this was on CSPAN if you ever watch it ) All of the Democrates were saying bring our guys home now. Get them out of there!
So the republicans called their bluff. They said ok, lets put it to a vote right now. If we vote for them to come home then they come home. When all the voting was done only 2 people ( democrats ) voted to bring them home.
Our people will be home one day. But we have to deal with Iraq. And other Terrorist bs.
Good lord. Randy you sumed it up when you said the SCNG was helpign you guys when hugo hit. the "SCNG" not the US ARMY. You got two differetn commands there. Its the states rersponsablity to call in the NG. Oh yea... that stupid women in charge down there along with that jackass mayor screwed that all up. It boils down too this. If you stay that your own damn fault.
Now on too are troops. I dont know a Marine that does not want to go over there and fight. They says its boring sitting around state side. I come from a militray family. I worked with the DoD for a few years. And I got to tell ya when its your job to go die for your country well....thats just what you do. I have lost some friends over there. I have a few that have come back not so right in the head. But there is one thing I have never heard from anyone thats been there or whos family members did not return home. I never heard them speak out about Bush, the war and or why we are there. The only people I ever hear bitch are the ones that have nothing at stake in this campain. Yea its a clusterfuck over there. there is a reason for this too. First its that jackass Rumsfeld. 2nd: is they wont send more troops.
I ran the copper river bridge this year. There wa slike 48,000 people there. I looked around and was like damn.. add 100,000 more and thats all ther eis over there??? In Nam there was 550,000 at the hight of that war. That country is not as big as Iraq.
If you want to get an idea of how screwed up things are over there talk to someone thats been in combat over there. Not you local flyboy who drops off food at the airport for are troops. Go talk too a Marine. Listen too the bullshit they have to do before they can shoot at a target that is lobing motors at them. Ask them why? Why must you fire to the left then the right then the hood then the passenger side then the driver of a car that fails too stop when coming too your check point of convoy at a high rate of speed? Ask them why? Ask them why there friends get locked up for killing targets that kill there friends. Whne you train your troops to tap 2 too the chest and 1 too the head. You should not courtmarsall them for doing just that. Thats another reason we wil never win over there. Are troops get treated like thugs when they kill some assclowns.
Anyway your opion is just that. Yours. Maybe if yourself and others out there go talk with some "combat" vets you might change your mind?
And too all are troops out there. Thank you :wtg: =D> =D> =D> =D>
Randy there was good reason to keep people out after Katrina. Leveys (sp) had broken and flooding was happening and no one knew how bad that would be. Also rule number one in Emergency services is Safety. They pulled all assests out of the area when the strom hit because if you leave them too close the strom would damage all the equipment you needed not to mention hurt the personel that are there to help and what good would they be if they where hurt? The storm was huge! It hit three states and moved north. Now taking that in to consideration you can imagine where they would have had to stage. My company sent 10 crews to the area. They had to battle through blocked roads by trees and bridges that had been taken out by Katrina. It took time but they got there. The other thing is that the Mayor and and Governor failed to plan properly not the US Government. So right there that takes blame off Bush. As soon as Bush knew how bad it was he sent FEMA in to take over. My friend who is a FEMA Paramedic was on standby during Katrina and was activated the next morning and left.
Now as far as Military goes. I was in the Coast Guard myself. I have many friends who are in he Air Force, Coast Guard, Army, Navy, and Marines from High School and College who are in Iraq right now (about one quarter of my High School class went into the Military). The first thing before you leave for boot camp is to get sworn in. It's your last chance to not join. They tell you specificaly what your getting into. They tell you that you are joining and it's not a field trip. You're told you will go to war if a war comes because that is what you're being paid to do and trained for. So it's not like soldiers are oblivious to the fact that they are going to be in one. Those that are complaining should have a code red pulled on them becuase they're nothing but cowards. Yes when I got deployed I missed my family but I had a job to do and I did it. I think many of the soldiers over there miss their families and want to come home soon but they know they have to complete their duty first before that can happen and they're willing to do it. Now as far as I can tell it's the extremest Muslims that don't want us there because they're not going to be abel to run the country based on their religion. There are many Iraq's that want us there. Many of them want their own country and don't want these other forien fighters there trying to ake over. Yes they want to see their own contry defend itself as well but until they're trained and stable enough to do so we have to stay and make sure that happens for them.

Randy,
You know you are a good friend of mine, but I can't let this one slide. That kind of talk makes me sick. The soldiers that are over there are fighting(and dieing) for you to have the right and privlage to make il-informed statements like that. Of course fighting for freedom is not a fun thing to have to do, but it is what soldiers sign up for. I didnt want to be a soldier. Thats why I joined the Navy. I didnt want to to be sent to the desert. Freedom means a lot of different things. It doesnt just mean doing what you want to do. It means going to the store without being worried if you were going to die there. Most Americans are blind to the fact that that is everday life to those people. They live in fear everday. The people that dont want us there are the same ones that are causing that fear. The majority of the people over there are happy to have us there. Just ask one of the women who just voted for the first time. Ask her what she thinks about us having a presence there. I just ask you to do a little research on what is really going on over there, and here for that matter, before making statements like that.

Randy needs to do some reading and quit jumping on the bandwagon. I go to Iraq because thats what my bosses tell me to do. If I don't like it I will quit when it comes time to reenlist. I go to support my fellow military members and help fight the war my commander in chief thinks we should fight. Do I agree with this war? Thats my business. Do I love to bring home troops from Iraq after a year long tour? You are damn right. Nothing better than getting them back to their families or taking them the bullets and bombs they need or the mail from their loved ones back home.
Do I have to risk getting shot at everytime I fly into Balad or Bagdad. Nope I could get out and do something different, but I choose to do this. Why? Because I want to. It's my choice. Don't bitch about our military unless you can change something. How do you change things? VOTE!!!
Im not really on and bandwagon... These are just questions i REALLY have... like asking how to take corners or anything else.... I do understand people have the right to reinlist if they wish but from what i have seen here latley very few are reinlisting...
Chris, yea bro were still cool , just lookin for some answers. the main one im intersted in is how can someone come over here and fuck our shit up and then we fix it. BUT when we fuck there shit up...why are we fixing it? these arent smart ass comments just making points....

In Response To John Kerry's Remarks
Body: This is a letter written by a marine in response to Kerry's insult on them. Enjoy and repost if you feel the notion:
Yesterday John Kerry said, "You know education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well, and if you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq”
So I wrote him a letter:
I am a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. I am currently on my second tour in Iraq, a tour in which I volunteered for. I speak Arabic and Spanish and I plan to tackle Persian Farsi soon. I have a Bachelors and an Associates Degree and between deployments I am pursuing an M.B.A. In college I was a member of several academic honor societies, including the Golden Key Honor Society. I am not unique among the enlisted troops. Many of my enlisted colleagues include lawyers, teachers, mechanics, engineers, musicians and artists just to name a few. You say that your comments were directed towards the President and not us. If we were stupid Senator Kerry, we might have believed you.
I am not a victim of President Bush. I proudly serve him because he is my Commander and Chief. If it was you who was President, I would serve you just as faithfully. I serve America Senator Kerry, and I am also providing a service to the good people of Iraq. I have not terrorized them in the middle of the night, raped them or murdered them as you have accused me of before. I am doing my part to help them rebuild. My role is a simple one, but important. You see Senator Kerry, like it or not, we came here and removed a tyrant (who terrorized Iraqis in the middle of the night, and raped them and murdered them). And we have a responsibility to see to it that another one doesn’t take his place. The people of Iraq are recovering from an abusive relationship with a terrible government and it’s going to take some time to help them recover from that. We can’t treat this conflict like a microwave dinner and throw a temper tantrum because we feel like it’s taking too long.
Senator Kerry, you don’t have to agree with this war. You don’t have to say nice things about those of us who choose to make sacrifices for the rights of every American rather than sit back and simply feel entitled to it. But please Senator Kerry, if you’re going to call me a stupid murdering rapist, stick by what you say. Don’t tell me that I misunderstood or that you would never insult a veteran because you’re one too. Having been there and done that does not give you a free pass to insult me.
My suggestion for you, Senator Kerry, is to remember that your speeches are recorded, and broadcast to us simpletons over here. You may want to write down what you want to say before you say it, maybe have somebody look at it before you say it and tell you what others might hear. Remember that we can’t read your mind, if there are any misinterpretations in what you say, it’s because you didn’t communicate clearly.
Good luck to you Senator Kerry, if nothing else it’s always entertaining to watch you try and climb out of the holes that you constantly dig for yourself.
Sincerely,
Somebody who is watching his daughter grow up in photographs so that you can have the right to say whatever you want about him.
