How many people interested in making the trip to Daytona for 24 Rolex event
500 HP Daytona Prototypes
Gt Cars Porsche GT3, BMW, Mazda RX-8's, Corvette, Pontiac GTO, Ford Mustang and others
24 Hour event with lots of Car shows and displays
A very fun event with plenty to see. Entire infeild is full of camping and they even set up night events such as a real drive in .....
Always fun and I have yet to see the first person from cornerjunkies down there to date.....
We even have a local team to root for. The Autometrics guys will be feilding Corey Freidman in a Porsche GT3 Cup Car. They have been top 4 in class before.
May also want to start plans for VIR event , which will also host Moto ST Motorcycle endurance race the same weekend !!!!!!
Petite Le Mans event in september at Road Atlanta....

I haven't made it to one of those yet, so I'd like to. Hopefully I'll be around when it comes around...

I'd love to see it as well. I just need to make time in Feb. to do it.
Date for race has changed
Official date is now set for January 26-29 ....
It's a lot sooner than usual ....
There are some sprint races on friday, which are real nice....
Friday night is Night Practice for 24 hour event....
If you have never been, get there !!!!!!
Gordon King and the local crew will be down ther in the BIG ASS GREEN BUS
They always seem to find a spot on the dog leg after the International horseshoe....

Train leaves friday morning bright and early for all of those interested in this event .....

Rolex kicks off on Saturday high noon ends Sunday ....
We are all camping at the track Schanty Town ....
Rooms can be had cheap for this event ....
This is the first weekend of Daytona's Speed Week ....
Don't miss this if you can get down there .....
BAGB will be parked on the Dogleg after international horseshoe......

Any how had a great time with a few locals.... It was cold and wet at night but great during the daylight hours... Ganassi Wins again with the Riley/Lexus and
some guy named Montoya behind the wheel... Sponsored by some new online burrito delivery company Telmex and Target of course...
Locals in GT3 machine did not fend so well this year... Look forward to better races for them this season....
ALMS hits Sebring in Mid to late March ....
R-10 Audi Diesel will be there as well as all the other prototype machines...
12 hour event, bring your old couches ....... :evillaugh:
Always fun at these events, wish you guys could be available for up coming rounds for Grand Am and ALMS....
It's fantasyland with money, money, more money and even barrel loads of more money and all we have to do is watch!!!

Sounds like a good time. One of these days I may actually be able to go. Hopefully by then, I'll have at least a shovel full of money and no employer to acount to, :D
Gainsco had their car on display today on remount road....
A Daytona Prototype car was featured at the new progressive insurance location on remount....
It may be displayed at other venues in our are in the next few days....
Car comes hot of the heels of Daytona from Last weekend.....
It's the Riley chassis with Pontiac badges..... It's a fake Pontiac, they actually use a GM racing Corvette engine .... Around 500 HP
