And the winner is... Jason Disalvo! I mean Jason Duplantis (Champion Yamaha - #1 Sales Guy). Well, I think that everyone was looking forward to the amateur middle weight race. Since it was hyped up by the smack talking between Mac and Jason. Locally we had Jason, Mac, Jerry, and our new addition Evan. Who is Matt's (Champion Yamaha Parts Manager) brother. I've been trying to tell everybody that this boy Jason is fast and getting faster every race. I'll spare you all the details, Jason ran away with the race as usual, Jerry was the second local finisher, and believe it or not Evan was the 3rd place local finisher. Evan was fresh out of his race school class, and this was his very first race in his entire life. Now to top this off, his bike was completely stock, including the whisper quite stock muffler. Everyone was really amazed that he was able to beat up on a lot of veteran riders out there. I really feel sorry for the amateur 600 class racers next year. This was a pretty amazing feat. Way to go Evan! Mac Daddy has been out of the game for a year now, so he didn't do as well, but he'll be back to his regular blazing pace after a few practices I'm sure.

Good News, remembered earlier in the season when I told you to start getting autographs from Trey Yonce. Well, it looks like he has a lot of things in the works for a full Formula USA ride and maybe even an AMA ride. I'll give you more detail as they get ironed out. I knew this boy was going to blow; you can't hide talent like that for long. He wasn't supposed to race with us this weekend but he just couldn't stay away. He bought his R1 down and ran one race which of course he won.

Kenny and Matt had no competition except themselves. They really had some very entertaining racing going on between the two of them. I think all of there races were close. On one race Matt ran an unbelievable 1:14 lap time on the last lap and passed Kenny on the last turn to beat him to the line. This was the track's fastest lap time of the weekend. Matt and Kenny came in 1 and 2 all of there races, except the one Trey was in. Congrad’s to Matt! I think I know what motivated Matt this past weekend, and all I can say is DAMN! Congrad’s are in order again, and this isn't for the racing, but for the 12 that you graced us with.

Now for me. I was lucky enough to win a race or two, but I also lost two races as well. Which I wasn't too happy about, but oh well, I guess you can't win them all. I did however accomplish one of my goals for the season. I was able to beat an expert rider who dominated my class last season. Last year he won 5 lightweight amateur titles. So I was riding high after that win. Art, who is one of the CCS race directors, said that he needed to change the color of my plates, because I was beating up on most of the experts. Needless to say, my head is still pretty swollen.

The Chuck Town Compound / Team Maximoto really put a hurting on the competition this weekend. It's kinda like we own that track. Again, congrad's to Evan, who in my book took the local racer of the week award.

No big deal. Kenny missed one too and he was at the track. We were having breakfast with my cousin at the Cracker Barrel. At the time, that was way more important. Thanks for thanking about me though. I think that I could have easily won the race, but my tires were really scorthed anyway. I'm not going to try to run more than 3 races on a set of tires anymore. My laptimes start to fall off instead of going up. I was really ready for that last race. As the saying goes, in a gunfight you need to bring a gun, and my saying is, in a road race you need to bring good tires.

A little modest are we Barry. A few race wins. You kicked Knoxs' ass. :wtg: And thanks for the kind words about my brother. He impressed me too. And just like his big brother he crashed also. But we both made it out of there in one peice which i'm sure my mom was relieved after it was all over.

in a road race you need to bring good tires.
It was very hot and slick out there this weekend. I'm learning more and more each new weekend about the importance of tire compounds thanks to the help of Jason at Dunlop. Kenny and I used to just ask for new rubber but we both now put a lot of practice and thought into chosing a tire.

:sleepy: :coffee: When are you to quit that s*@t bro? This is the BIG TIME CCS. Don't make me call Travis and tell him what a lazy racer his Uncle is. :lmao:

How did David from mount p do this weekend? I missed a lot of the races hiding out in the a/c.

Jason was awesome, I knew bringing him on board was a good idea. I've been working with him since his first trackday at jennings and by this time next year he should be waxing my ass. As for Matt, 14's!!! I don't know how much you guys keep up w/ racing, but that's what Trey runs there. He is constantly improving and getting more aggressive (drafting me to the finish, fucker) but that WAS his down fall, being aggressive. now that he getting more aggressive, expect more wins and better times. Barry, well, I always said that when you got out there you would kick everyones ass as well. you too were a great addition to the team, just stop being so modest. oh and lose the stomach so you can tuck behind that windscreen  as for me, i'm getting old and feeling it!! man i'm puerto rican and that heat this weekend was killing me!!!!! I've tried to step up my game and making good progress, but my main concern is for Matt, Jason, Barry to bring home there championships. I'm in the process of entering the superstock race at VIR for AMA. If i make qualifing then i will have a chance to live out my dream. to race an AMA national on TV. SOOOOO, here's to Team MAXIMOTO and the rest of the chucktown local racers. :pals:

How did David from mount p do this weekend?

For those of you who don't know, David Anderson is another local racer from Mt. Pleasant. He is racing a SV in the same class as me. David is looking to win the amateur LW supersport class and the amateur LW formula 40 class.

David didn't do as well as I expected this weekend. I didn't enter the LW supersport race and I thought for sure that he would win, but he got a 3rd, I think. I really think the heat got to him. You know the heat really affects us Forty year old geriatrics.

Matt, I told Travis about the weekend you had, he was pretty excited. I am going to pick him up for the VIR race, so you'll have your #1 fan back on board.
