I ralked to a guy today with a turbo V-rod, very nice bike with loads of stuff on it. He claimed it made 185hp and topped out at 210. :bs: Then I read about some idiot on Gixxer.com that said he wrecked at 170 on a 600 and walked away. Take no offense to this if you are not one of these people but if you are :stfu: and quit wasting everyones time.

Hmm, I don't see why a vrod couldn't make that kind of power with a turbo, but 210 is just a theoretical speed (on the dyno). Because of a motorcycle's poor aerodynamics (even full-blown racebikes drag coefficient is quite high), it would take hundreds of ponies to get it up to 210. Yeah, 210mph on a vrod with only 185hp? BS...

170, on a 600... given the optimistic speedos on today's bikes, that was probably more like 170 * ~90% = ~155mph. A high speed, but not impossible to achieve, or to walk away from... just very, very unlikely.

FYI supercharged v-rods make around the 150's I guess if you went to a higher compresion,mr9 AND a turbo possible but beware incoming piston! lol

with a turbo you need lower compression and the sky is the limit with hp just a matter of how well the motor is built

Either way you look at it, both of the guys stories are BS. I don't believe that there is a person in the world that could hold on to a cruiser going 200 mph. It took every bit of stength I had to hold on to my warrior at 120 mph.

Well I can tell ya just how fast a 600 can go. Take Hwy 52 from Bono to St stephins. Its about 9 miles. From what the police report said I made it from Bono to St. stephins in just over a min and a half. So take a 600 F3 with gears for top end and the fact that its red line is 13500 and it was running round 14000 and theres your speed. Then I crashed at around 130 pluse in jeans and a Tshirt..."and walked away" a little scraped up. I was toped out in 3rd gear. And theres plent of people on here than can say they where there for this. So yea just cause your 1000 only does 165 cause your scared dont mean a 600 cant do 170. And you can walk away from any crash..if you got the rigth gear on and if luck is on your side.

What about those guys who go to the salt falts don't their v-twins go over 200 mph?? As for a 600 going over 170 I guess anything is possible with the right gearing.. I know Chad's 600 couldn't reach that speed. BS is right but some people want to feel special so keep on posting the BS. It makes for a good laugh.. I know my R1 can go over 170!!!!
