If you've hit a plateau in your riding then do what unfast1 recommended and take a high end race school.

These are lengthy but you'll get a good idea of what you're getting for your money:

Here's a review of the Schwantz school: http://www.motorcycleaddicts.org/tra...-may-07-a.html

Freddie Spencer Level 1: http://www.motorcycleaddicts.org/tra...level-one.html

Freddie Spencer Level 2:http://www.motorcycleaddicts.org/tra...level-two.html

Freddie Spencer Pro school: http://www.motorcycleaddicts.org/tra...ro-school.html

A high end race school is nice but not necessary. Sometimes just taking your average school as a refresher course will do the trick, that and actually getting in a race. Track days are fun, but you need to be challenged. Save the big $$$ for the "high end" race school and go racing and dice it up a bit, that will do it more than anything else. And just ride the R6 for christs sake!!!! You doing 16's @ RRR on a track day, imagine if you were being chased for the lead.......and the WERA weekend doesn't count cause you know as well as I do that you were not in the right frame of mind. Use the money that you are gonna use on the new bike to a season of racing, see where it goes.

I know, I just really want to break through to the next level. And am looking for a way to do it. I really apreciate all the advise I have a Track day this weekend at jennings and then the ECP trackday the 29th so I would like to keep my prcatices up threw the winter and maybe do something next year.

That's the way to do it. I should have a 600 at the next track day, so maybe we can break through into the 15's

Speaking of the pits, are you still in, I'm leaving in the morning Thursday. Race is on Saturday, so you don't have to come till then, but we have practice on Friday and could use you.

I cannot speak about the Freddie Spencer school, but I can give you several sources that will tell you that the Schwantz school is a expensive waste of money.

No my bike is plenty. Sometimes I think its to much. And the schools, the more i look into them the less I want to go. 1. they are way to much money. 2. they are all two or three day deals. 3. the bikes you ride dont even have race tires on them. Last time I rode a bike with street tires on the track I broke my arm, didnt ride for 6 months and had to hear "I told you so" from Kenny for months.
